Week In Review:
September 25, 2026
On The Ground
In some ways, Q4 always feels like it starts on Labor Day. September gets lumped into “the rest of the year,” and everyone snaps back to reality for what is a reliably busy stretch. This year has been no different. A frenzy of activity at the end of summer kicked off the sprint to the end of the year.
At the moment, our dashboard tilts toward later stage venture and PE backed companies, with functional diversity across all kinds of roles, but still with a steady emphasis on Growth and Ops functions. This sustained investment in growth is now at least seven quarters old, and has to be one of the longest consecutive stretches for a single function in our experience doing this.
Outside of those areas, we’re seeing everything from CEO searches to People leaders to Clinical Operations and AI Transformation roles. It’s a frothy market, and a great time to be considering a new chapter.
As conference season gets underway, the pace will only quicken, and it will be the end of the year before we know it. Companies are moving intentionally now, to make the right team additions in preparation for 2027. If you’re on the conference circuit this fall, we’d love to see you!
Keep an eye next week for the launch of our 7th Annual Healthcare Executive Compensation Study survey intake!
